ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Because life got in the way, I began my art career late
at age 65. It was my intention to explore watermedia and
then move on to oil and pastel. Some years later, I find
myself still in the learning stages of watermedia. So
much to learn, so little time.
Paint moving across a wet surface and images rising off
the paper excite me. They provide a means of explaining
what goes on in my eyes, my mind, and my heart.
Sometimes they’re a funny play on thoughts and words,
sometimes they’re serious. The images never quite live
up to my vision, but they all have some of the essence
of me.
